CARICOM - Assessment of Social Security Organisations and Possible Harmonisation of Qualifying Conditions for Improved Policy Environment to Facilitate Free Movement with 17 CARICOM Member States - 08/2010 - ongoing

The objective of the project is to deepen the regional integration movement by improving the operations of Social Security Organisations (SSO) and the CARICOM Agreement on Social Security (CASS).  In this, we assessed the soundness of SSOs and their ability to sustain the provision of benefits to eligible classes of beneficiaries.  Attention was directed to the feasibility of harmonisation of qualifying conditions for payment of social security benefits.
